Help Tonderai study at Harvard

Hello everyone!
My name is Tonderai Koschke, and as I write this, I am reeling from the thrill of just having been accepted to Harvard for an exchange semester during my Master in Architecture which I am currently completing at the Technical University of Munich. I had applied to this programme in conjunction with a scholarship that would have aided me in paying the tuition fees, for which I got through to the last round. However, in the last minute, the funding did not come through as hoped. Suddenly I found myself with a place at Harvard, with the chance to pursue my dream study goal, but without the funding to do so. I'm therefore hosting this fundraiser to ask for your support in making this dream come true.
Why am I absolutely convinced that Harvard would give me a new lease on my architectural education? Well, the unique opportunity I have been offered is for an interdisciplinary semester at the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, where I will be able to take courses at the School of African and African American Studies and the School of History of Art and Architecture in addition to my Architectural Design Studio course. Especially the former School offers courses that I feel are extremely important for my architectural studies and research, that have always focussed on social topics in the Global South and Africa, specifically, as well as de-colonial questions in the Global North. Having been raised in Zimbabwe, as a student in Germany I have found it difficult to connect to people about and find an outlet for these topics that are so important to me. This also explains the lack of institutional support I have found in funding this undertaking.
I consider myself extremely fortunate to have been given this opportunity to expand my horizon, and for all the support I have already had in making this exchange semester happen. This is why I believe it possible, despite the absurd costs that break down as follows:
To sponsor my Visa, Harvard requires certification of USD 42, 190 by June 20th.
This includes: USD 28, 105 tuition and fees, and USD 14, 085 travel and living expenses.
My family and I can manage to come up with USD 10,000. Through German state aid and loans, I will be able to source approximately (due to currency conversions) another USD 6,900. I am therefore trying to raise USD 25,290.
Many thanks to Naveen Kishore from Seagull books who has offered the first donation of USD 2,000, which not only kickstarted the fund, but has raised my hopes sky high! Thank you, too, for reading this far. If you could support me by donating any amount, or sharing this with your contacts, that would make my day.
