Help Tony's family care for him in His final days

Donation protected
Tony had been experiencing stomach aches for 6 months. Due to him not having health insurance, he never went to the doctor. It got to the point where he couldn't work, he went to the hospital. They said it's a hernia and he had fluid around his liver, but he hadn't drank in 13 years. They gave him two prescriptions and sent him home. For the next week, he vomited everything he drank, he couldn't eat, he was even vomiting just because he was so severely dehydrated and very weak, close to death.

His son said we're going back to the hospital and brought him to a different hospital. After a few tests, they sent him to another hospital. They did more tests and after 4 days, he was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer that had spread to his stomach. He was told to go home and enjoy what little time left he had. He was told he has a couple of weeks, maybe 2 months left. He was told hospice would be contacting him and sent him home (where he up until a few weeks prior split rent with his son) with 5 prescriptions to get.

Now remember, I said Tony has no health insurance or life insurance. He's divorced and has one son who has a 3-year-old and a baby due in August. Since Tony has no health insurance, all medications and hospice have to be paid for by his son. They sent a social worker to try and get him Medicaid which he has since applied for. If Tony can't get Medicaid, then all of the financial burden falls to his son to pay. Since Tony's sickness, his son now has to pay all the rent and utilities totaling over $2,800 monthly, not to mention all the cost of Tony's medicine which they switch daily and the food which consists of mainly soft and liquid diet with things high in protein. Since Tony has a tumor in his stomach, he cannot swallow food, it sits on his chest. Not to mention his son will be responsible for paying for the cremation and all other expenses that come up.

So, we're trying to raise money to help pay for Tony's hospice and his memorial service and fees that come along with it. If you know Tony and would like to donate, all donations will be given to his son to help care for Tony in his final days. Anything helps and will be greatly appreciated to help his son during this tough time.
