Life has never been easy for my daughter, Tori, but she has always faced every challenge with determination, strength, and an unbreakable love for her children. Tori is in need of support as she is determined to provide an autism-friendly home. Focusing on minimizing sensory overload, maximizing safety, and promoting a predictable environment for her five children, one with emotional trauma along with ADHD, three of whom are diagnosed on the Autism spectrum, with two being severely Autistic, and her youngest, who has a rare neurological condition.
A Life of Challenges and Unwavering Strength
Tori’s journey has been anything but smooth. As a child, she endured unthinkable trauma, yet she persevered, always holding onto hope for a brighter future. In 2011, Tori joined the military to start her dream career and served for seven years. She married in 2016 and became a mother to twin daughters in 2018.

During this time, Tori also fought a legal battle to adopt her half-sister, Roni, who had been placed in foster care after their biological father’s parental rights were terminated. Despite the obstacles, including having to take a hardship discharge out of the military in order to fight for her sister, she succeeded in giving Roni a safe and loving home.
Tori absolutely adored being a mother and wanted nothing more than to have one more. She then gave birth to her third child, Colton. As all three grew, it became clear that they were facing significant developmental delays. After a long and difficult process, the twins were diagnosed with severe Autism, requiring round-the-clock care. Then, Colton was diagnosed with Austim as well. Though Colton functions at a higher level, he still requires special support, and an education tailored to his needs—one that Tori cannot afford.

Tori’s marriage ended in divorce for both to focus 100% of their time on the kids. Per the divorce agreement, Tori must sell and move from their home.
Tori then had her baby Hazel with her boyfriend, Bobby. Doctors told them that Hazel’s brain was fused together and that she would not survive. They recommended termination, but they refused to give up. Tori sought multiple opinions and fought for her daughter’s life. When Hazel was born, she was diagnosed with Moebius Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder affecting the nerves in her face, preventing her from being able to eat on her own. Hazel has a G-tube for feeding and has been hospitalized for failure to thrive. At only three months old and weighing just 7 pounds, her fight has just begun—but so has their continued battle to ensure Hazel gets the best care possible. Tori and her family desperately need a new home—one that is safe, functional, and suitable for their needs. With four children requiring constant supervision, a home with a secure outdoor play area, a sensory room, and a layout that works for their daily care would be life changing.
