Help Tori fight her fight
Aloha Family and Friends,
Tori was diagnosed with Pancytopenia and Aplastic Anemia on 7/20/21, a rare condition where her body stopped producing new blood cells. Aplastic Anemia develops as a result of bone marrow damage. The past couple of weeks have been frightening and emotionally draining; however, she has a team of doctors who are first trying to identify a type of virus that is attacking her system before she can move forward on her treatment for her now what the doctors are calling Severe Aplastic Anemia.
Tori first had skillful care at Providence Regional Cancer System-Lacey, her doctor there admitted her to Providence St. Peter’s Hospital where she received excellent care, she was then transported to UW Medical Center - Montlake, where she is receiving exemplary care from her team of doctors and nurses.
There is a lot of uncertainty about the time for Tori’s treatment, she has a long road to recovery. The teams of doctors are first working at identifying the virus that is attacking her body and then treat her for that, so that they can move forward to her treatment and outpatient plan for the Severe Aplastic Anemia. That treatment along with her transfusions will be done at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance - SCCA South Lake Union, which she will need to be housed nearby.
There has been an overwhelming response from family and friends asking for ways to help. We are hoping to raise money to help cover the unexpected financial stress: medical expenses, meals, transportation, treatments, housing, loss of incomes. Your contributions will help Tori on her road to recovery and help lighten the stress for the Victor IV Ohana.
Much mahalos for your love and support through this difficult time.
