Help Vittoria Fight Stage 4 Metastatic Cancer

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind-hearted Strangers,

We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts and a desperate plea for support. Our dear friend, Vittoria Bua, whom we have known since our early schooldays, is facing the battle of her life. At just 46 years old, Vittoria has been diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic cancer. Despite this heart-wrenching news, she remains a beacon of hope, strength, and resilience for everyone around her, especially her loving husband, Roberto, 17-year-old son, Federico, and 5-year-old daughter, Maisie.

Vittoria's journey has been incredibly challenging. Since her initial breast cancer diagnosis at the age of 42 she has endured a mastectomy, numerous biopsies, hospital visits, scans, and procedures in a valiant effort to fight this relentless disease. Unfortunately, the cancer has spread to various organs and her bones, leading to multiple lesions and a fracture in her pelvis. Vittoria now wears a body brace to prevent further injuries and requires a specialist bed to manage her condition and alleviate her pain.

Vittoria is a loving and dedicated individual who used to run the family business with unmatched expertise and passion. Additionally, she was an incredible English teacher, inspiring countless students with her enthusiasm and high standards. Even during her intensive chemotherapy, radiotherapy and hormone therapy, she remained committed to her work and her family. Sadly, her illness has meant that she can no longer continue the work she loves, which has been a huge emotional blow for her.

Despite the aggressive nature of her illness, Vittoria has not stopped caring for others. She often supports fellow patients who are alone and scared during their treatments. Her empathy and kindness have made a significant impact, providing comfort and guidance to those in need. In her darkest hours, helping others has given her strength and purpose.

Vittoria wants to continue making a difference and hopes to live long enough to see her children grow up and be by Roberto's side. To achieve this, she is looking into advanced cancer treatments that offer new hope in her fight.

As her family and friends, our primary concern is ensuring Vittoria's comfort and well-being while also securing a stable environment for Federico and Maisie. The financial burden of her illness has become overwhelming, with the cost of medication, much of which is not covered, and everyday living expenses piling up.
