Help Tori in her fight against breast cancer

Donation protected
Hey everyone!
As most of you already know I have been diagnosed with breast cancer January 26 at the Miami Cancer Institute. I have stage 1B grade 2 invasive ductal carcinoma of my left breast. I will be having a double mastectomy as I was also diagnosed with a genetic mutation that put me at risk to get breast cancer especially at a young age. Which in turn makes me much more likely to battle with recurrent breast cancer. My surgery is scheduled for March 1st. I will need to be out about 6 weeks from work in order to heal. I will also need a follow up surgery in 2-3 months that will require me to be out from work again. During the double mastectomy, they will also test my lymph nodes to see if cancer is present in any of them. If they are present in my lymph nodes it means that the cancer has spread to other areas in my body. If the cancer is present in my lymph nodes I will need to begin chemotherapy in addition to the hormone therapy I will be doing. Once the surgery is done and my cancer is sent to the pathology lab they will have the full extent of the disease to diagnose the true staging as I also have a satellite lesion nearby the cancerous lesion that we will not know if its also the same cancer a different cancer or an unrelated benign lesion. I will meet with an oncologist after my surgery to discuss my treatment options once we have the full picture of what’s going on in my body. Any and all help, prayers, support is appreciated at this time.
I will continue to post updates as I learn more about the cancer in my body.
Thank you everyone, I love you all!

When I first felt the lump in early December, I went to the doctors office to get an ultrasound and a breast exam. This is the imaging taken that day, 12/08/2021.

I asked to have further imaging to help me make a decision on whether or not a biopsy would be necessary. The diagnostic mammogram wasn’t able to see anything because of the density of my breasts, so on 12/20/2021 I was scheduled for another ultrasound shown below which the radiologist deemed BI-RADS 4A he thought I had a suspicious lesion that prompted a biopsy.

I was able to get an appointment with the Miami Cancer Institute with an amazing doctor and surgeon whom did a biopsy on me same day as my consultation, which only two days later she would confirm that my lesion was cancer. She ordered an MRI of my breast, one instance of the MRI shown below, to get a more detailed understanding of my cancer as it was hard to get true sizing of the lesion due to the density of my breast. Below is the image of the cancer in my left breast. The radiologist sized my lesion at 3.3 cm with a 1.2 cm lesion slightly inferior to the cancer. We will find out after my whole breast tissue is sent to pathology after the double mastectomy if it is related to the cancer or not.
