HELP TOWARDS ESTON EQUITATION CENTER FLOOD REPAIR

Hi, my name is Madison, some may know me as an Instructor or Yard staff at Eston Equitation Centre and if u don't know me then please keep reading and find out more! I am running a 10k mud run on the 2nd of September to help with the cost of repairs caused by major flooding in the yard.

EEC'S STORY

This year the riding school has had ongoing problems with water running from the old mines on the Eston Hills directly into the indoor arena and tack room. They have had no financial support from any of the authorities with this issue. Despite it not being caused by the centre, they have had to seek to rectify it themselves- by conducting various extensive groundworks in and around the arena. This has been to stop the flooding and repair the horrendous damage caused by it. The riding school is still recovering from the toll the pandemic took on the business and needs support in restoring the arena for riders to enjoy fully once again. Eston Equitation Centre is the last riding school surviving in Redcar and Cleveland and needs the arena to function and provide the opportunity to the local community.

Why should you help?

Eston Equitation Centre has become my second home over the past 6 years. I first learned to ride there at 13 years old(2016), then volunteered and then began working for the centre 2 years ago. Anyone who has ever stepped foot on the yard will agree it is filled with the most wonderful staff and ponies! So please help with whatever you can and support my 10k mud run !!

Your donations will go towards repairing kick-boards that rotted away whilst they were underwater. Paying off the expenses of fixing the flooding problems. Replacing items and tack lost to the flooding and lots more which will be shared at a later date!
