Help towards Cinders Surgery
Donation protected
Hey I'm Kenzie, from kenzies k9s animal search and rescue. Lastnight we came across a post on Facebook about a 14 year old dog called Cinders that had gotten herself lost in Seascale. Me & 2 of my volunteers headed straight out to help locate her. After a good 3 hours I spotted something in the distance in our thermal camera and monitored it for a good 10 minutes before moving closer. It was her she was very dazed and when we finally got near to her she kept running away- with a bit of paitence sitting on the floor she soon came over to me and becky was able to get a lead on her! She was safe after her 5 hour ordeal. Sadly we soon realised she was injured we carried her over a mile back to the car then drove her home to a very relieved Debs. Cinders was taken to the vets this morning and she's unfortunately De-Gloved her Jowel (the flappy bit of skin on jaw) and needs surgery. All morning it's been such a worry as she's needed tests done to see if she was fit enough for surgery- given her age- but thankfully we've just had confirmation that all is good to go and shes fit enough
Such a tough time for Debs her owner as she lost her husband sadly at the start of the year and Cinders has been her support. I'd love nothing more to be able to raise the funds to cover Cinders surgery so Debs has nothing more to worry or stress over. So please if you can spare £5 or £10 it would mean so much to us all
Lots of love,
Kenzies K9s Animal search and Rescue xx
