Help Townsend Fire Victims

UPDATE: We are very grateful for all who have reached out in support, shared, and donated to this gofundme! Linda and Peter are in the process of viewing apartments and hoping to find somewhere close by! We are going to close down this gofund me and ask that if anyone wants to make further donations to reach out to TEO at [phone redacted]. I appreciate you all in and around this beautiful town of Townsend and love the way we have rallied to help these families. Linda, manager of Elm St Dunkin Donuts, and Peter are both so appreciative of all support in this matter and fingers crossed they can find a new apartment soon!

First I would like to thank you for taking the time to click the link for this gofundme. My name is Brianna Talcott. I created and help run the Little Smiles Townsend support page on Facebook for local families in need. I was so saddened to hear of a horrible fire in Townsend today (3/12/23) that impacted several people in this multifamily home. There is already a gofundme for Amanda Caprigno and her family (I will include it in the posts I make sharing this gofundme) but I wanted to create this one for the tenant, Linda Maciel, a childhood best friend of mine's kind-hearted mother who is well-known and loved by many in Townsend.

Linda has helped with donations of items countless times over the years for families in need and is always willing to lend her time/a helping hand to those in our community. She had just recently moved into the upper two-bedroom apartment within the home that burnt down. After already having a tough week, her and Peter lost several irreplaceable and replaceable items and they are understandably heartbroken. She is also looking now for an apartment local to Townsend, preferably two bedroom apartment for her and Peter and their two cats and Peter's service dog if anyone knows of any available.

Linda also mentioned that a friend of hers had been staying within the house (not in her apartment but within another part) renting a room and said she would be more than happy to have 1/3 of any funds received here to go to him. His name is Tony, and he lost a lot as well.

They appreciate everyones thoughts and prayers <3 I hope that we can all gather as a community and see how we can help, even if not financially! I will post updates as they become available.
