Help Tracie Edwards beat stage 4 colon cancer

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Felicia Gomez and I am making this fundraiser for my sweet cousin, Tracie Edwards. Tracie is a 46 year old devoted wife, loving mother of 5 and an all around GREAT person. On Sept 1, 2021 we had to rush Tracie to the hospital where they found a large tumor in her colon that was almost fully obstructing her bowels. They did surgery two days later and removed approximately 20% of her colon, several polyps and the obstructing tumor. They found that the colon cancer had spread to her liver as well. Tracie didn't have insurance but is getting medically needy Medicaid.
This was shocking news and just so unfair to have this happen to such a young, genuinely good and loving person. The technical name for the cancer they found is adenocarcinoma.

The 1st. Oncologist appointment was yesterday and he said that without the needed treatments Tracie would die in 3-6 months. The Dr also said that they could prolong her life 5 or more years with Chemo, genetic counseling and a possible liver resection. The Dr explained that she needs an evaluation at Moffitt cancer center in Tampa for the genetic counseling and that they could possibly remove a large part of the tumor on her liver.
The Dr would not even start her port placement paperwork without her insurance going through or Tracie having cash to pay for it. The Dr is a good Dr, but that is unfortunately the way it is.
Money shouldn't keep someone from life saving treatments, but the lack of it in huge amounts keep many people from the treatments that they desperately need to survive.
Even with the Medicaid, the stage 4 cancer expenses, travel and care costs are huge. Her husband will likely need some time off to help with her care, treatments and travel to the Cancer Center in Tampa. Tracie and Mike still have 2 kids at home that are school aged. These folks never ask for help because they are normally the ones that help others with everything from a place to stay to costly car repairs.

Please agree with us in prayer and pray for a complete healing of Tracie's body. Please give if you can, she appreciates all the prayers and donations way more than you can even realize.
The name Tracie means Warrior. She may be small, but she's mighty! She won't be fighting this battle alone, stand and fight with us!
