Help Trackside Studios and its artists rebuild post-Helene

Donation protected
Our beloved Trackside Studios, a cornerstone of Asheville’s vibrant River Arts District community, was severely damaged during Hurricane Helene. We are committed to reopening as soon as restoration and community infrastructure allow.

This space was not just a gallery—it was a home to nearly 60 local artists who pour their hearts and souls into their work. Our first fundraising priority is rent abatement for artists while the studio is closed for repair.

The artists of Trackside Studios are the very fabric of our community, and their livelihood depends on spaces like this to share their passion and creativity with the world. Many of them teach in our classroom, which is a community center that will be needed even more going forward after the destruction of so many other spaces in the River Arts District. Our second priority is to replace the teaching supplies previously purchased by our artists and to replace the ruined tables, chairs, easels, and storage that make the space functional for teaching.

Our third priority is to directly support our artists by restoring studio and gallery spaces so artists have a place to display and sell their art. Any remaining funds will be used to provide financial support to our artists for replacing supplies and tools to create their art. This financial support for Trackside’s working artists will help them recover from the losses from the flood and continue creating art that brings so much life to Asheville.

This fundraiser was started by one of our artists and is co-sponsored by one of the owners of Trackside Studios. The artists benefiting from this fundraiser are the 57 artists who were leasing studio space at Trackside Studios at the time of Hurricane Helene. There is no direct financial benefit to the owners of the gallery, as money for the classroom and repairing studio spaces will go directly to paying for materials (such as classroom supplies).

We need at least $90,000. It’s a very ambitious goal, but it’s reachable with the love and support of the many.

Sending big love to our River Arts District family and the greater WNC region,
Michael Campbell, Julie Bell, and the Trackside family
