Help Tracy Make Her Home Handicap Accessible

Hello. My name is Tracy. I'm disabled and unable to work currently. My wife works, but also has medical issues that limit the amount and type of work she is able to do. My medical issues have worsened recently and caused severe pain in my back, hips, and knees. I require a walker to get around and may need a wheelchair very soon. I have a very hard time walking up and down the couple steps into the house, feeling like I almost fall every time. It is now almost impossible for me to get in and out of the bath tub in order to bathe as I cannot lift my legs high enough to step in and out. The bathroom is also very small and I cannot get my walker in there, and a wheelchair would definitely not come close to fitting. I can barely fit to use the toilet in the area it is in. We would need the wall torn down and bathroom expanded with the adjacent room, and change out the bathtub for a shower with no steps to get in. This, plus making two entrance ramps to enter and exit the house is what we really need right now. We may need to do more if I need a wheelchair in the future. However, this is very expensive and we are barely getting by right now with no money to pay for these changes to make the house handicap accessible so that I can get around and be able to use the bathroom and shower. Any help is greatly appreciated. If you cannot help financially, sharing my story would be great as well. Thanks for your time and consideration.
