Help Trans Child Relocate - Florida to New York

Hi, my name is Rebeca and I am the mother of an incredibly special and amazing transgender daughter.

My daughter has been a huge blessing to my family and everyone who knows her. She has always known who she is and been an example of leading a life being authentically yourself. She is brave, kind, strong and so incredibly talented. However, she was also constantly living in fear, being in a state that politicalized her identity and consistently passed legislation trying to erase her.

As a parent, all I want for me daughter is for her to be treated like every other child, with respect, care and compassion. I want her to lead a normal life being who she is. And so, after several instances of discrimination and hate in schools, dance studios, and everyday life that were clearly impacting my daughter's mental health, I choose to relocate our family from Florida to New York.

We have now been in New York for one month and are struggling. We came to New York with two suitcases and all our initial expenses were paid with credit cards. We are now hoping to raise money to build stability by covering rent and moving expenses. We also need furniture, food, clothes, and anything it takes to build a home.
