Help Transform Medicine Buddha Hall

I write on behalf of Thekchen Choling Syracuse, a Buddhist temple that is embarking on a $50,000 capital campaign to update Medicine Buddha Hall. When complete, Medicine Buddha Hall will be a special place for health and wellness under the watchful eye of the Healing Buddha.
What Is Medicine Buddha Hall?
Medicine Buddha Hall is a 1,600-square-foot building located behind the main Thekchen Choling temple in Minoa, New York. Formerly known as Kṣitigarbha Hall, Medicine Buddha Hall is named for Sangye Menla, the loving and compassionate Buddha of Medicine. Jhado Tulku Rinpoche consecrated the hall as a shrine in 2018.
We are transforming Medicine Buddha Hall into a sanctuary for the healing of self and others. It will host Buddhist practices of meditation, prayer, healing pujas and light offerings. Medicine Buddha Hall also will present traditional and contemporary health and wellness activities, like our annual Healing Medicine Buddha Festival.
All beings—humans and animals—will be invited to benefit from the blessings of the Medicine Buddha through their engagement with this auspicious space.
Our Vision for Medicine Buddha Hall
To realize our vision for Medicine Buddha Hall, we need to make improvements to the 70-year-old building. This includes updating the electrical and lighting systems; adding an energy-efficient heat pump; insulating the walls, windows, doors and ceiling; installing new flooring; and painting the interior and exterior.
These upgrades will make the space more comfortable, inviting and useable all year long.
Generosity Is the Stream from Which All Blessings Flow
Your gift, whatever the amount, will turn our vision for Medicine Buddha Hall into reality. Thank you for your support.
