Help translate the Rockman manga

PRELIMINARY NOTE: This campaign is not for profit, it is for the fan community. If an official translation is released, this project will cease immediately. The results of this project will not be distributed for profit, and will solely be used for transformative and accessibility purposes.

----

In 1992, Shigeto Ikehara released the first chapter of the long running Rockman manga series, which went on to adapt much of the original Rockman series before ending on Rockman 7. Since the conclusion of the series, this manga has stayed mostly still in the intervening decades. No continuations have been released, and so far no translation has been completed in the west.

This project proposes to rectify that. Translating the manga through legally purchased copies in order to allow, for the first time, Mega Man fans in the west to appreciate Ikehara's work.

This project will be the cumulative work of the following translators:

- Windii: https://www.youtube.com/c/Windii/
- Mikanzuki: https://twitter.com/mikanzukiii
- Genderbenderbb2: https://twitter.com/genderbenderbb2

Together, these 3 translators will each work on a third of the project, resulting in the majority of the final product being released within two months of the project's fundraising goal being released. The remaining minor portions of the manga will be completed once a few volumes, missing until now, can be shipped to the United States.

Our minimum goal is $850 to complete the project. This will result in the manga being fully translated, but not typeset. The final result looking something like this, though published on a blog or website.

This $850 goal will not only allow us to translate the Rockman manga, but also Irregular Hunter X, Ikehara's adaptation of the Mega Man X series.

Our maximum goal is $1350. At this goal, we will not only be able to translate the manga, but also typeset it. If this goal is released, the full series will be typeset within around 6 months, and the final result will be provided freely.

All money here is going strictly towards the aforementioned translators and purchasing costs for the manga, nothing else. Our final goal is based on an estimated ~2500 pages to translate, with an average cost of just 34 cents a page.

To anyone who donates, thank you for allowing this wonderful manga to come to the west. We thank you for your support.
