Help Travis Pay Off Medical Debt

Hello Good Humans,
My name is Travis Deshawn Haigler (he/they). I'm a Black Neurodivergent Queer Trans man.
I'm a currently unemployed recent college graduate and a future PhD student starting this fall.
In this gap year, I've been forced to take control of my health in ways I've never had to. As a generationally lower-income student, I've always had to keep several jobs to make ends meet and my body has been keeping score.
In the past year alone I've had to rectify an on-going issue with my heart, dextroscoliosis of my thoracic spine, patella tendonitis, among others. This is not including the charge of psychiatric and mental health care. Furthermore, I live in a medically deserted area. My cardiologist alone takes two hours to get to by public transit each way.
I knew it was time to ask for help when I was forced to make the decision not to attend a follow-up cardiology appointment because I couldn't afford my $15 co-pay. I've had to stop all medical care and treatment for the time being because I simply have no money. My lack of access to care does not make my body stop hurting. In attempts to rectify this medical debt, I've turned to every funding source I can think of. I've maxed out every source of income I have.
These funds will help me pay off the many things not covered by my insurance like the cost of several diagnostic tests, medications, and transport to and from appointments.
These debts are reflective of the structural barriers that Black and Brown people face to both active and preventative care on a daily basis.
I know we're all tired and we're all struggling, but if there's anything you can spare, words will never be able to express my deepest gratitude.
Thank you all for your time, grace, and mercy in reading my story.
In Light and Liberation,
Travis Haigler
