Help Travis Rebuild After Palisades Fire

Hi, I'm Travis Hayden. On Tuesday, January 7th, my home burned down in the Palisades Fire. The entire place was destroyed along with several personal items. Ultimately, I was never able to secure fire insurance because my house was built pre-1972 and in a fire zone. No one would insure it.

I loved this space so much. I absolutely loved living on the beach. This was my dream home. Even when I took a chef job in Silverlake, the hour plus commute never bothered me because I could fall asleep with the sea breeze (I didn't close my bedroom window for 5 years!) and wake up and surf every morning.

I poured my heart into the space, remodeling everything myself. I did the cabinetry, the floors, cut out the sink, I reroofed it myself, even built a redwood deck with an out door shower during lockdown. I always said I'd never sell it in a million years and I'd always keep it in my family. My heart is broken to see it gone.

I'm a bit shocked and don't really know exactly what to do. I know 100% of the financial burden is on me to first clean up the space and to rebuild.

If you know me, I am quite stubborn and I don't like asking for help, but this time I think I need it. First to clean out the area, and then taking steps towards rebuilding my home.
