Help Treasure Heal: Support Needed for Vet Bills

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Michelle and I am starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my daughter for her cat, Treasure.

Treasure is one of the sweetest, most cuddly cats I have ever had the opportunity to know. She's a light in our lives and especially my daughter's. She is an indoor cat and absolutely loves the sunshine, so any chance she gets to bask in its warmth in a window, she takes it.

Recently, Treasure got outside and got tangled up in a thorn bush. She has suffered quite a bit of injuries as a result of it and her progress has been up and down. She likely has nerve damage in one of her paws and it's possible she may need an amputation. Her body is scratched and poked in many areas on both sides, so I do warn that the pictures I will be sharing may be hard to see. We have been having to feed her brothy cat food and water through a syringe to try to keep her nutrition up as she cannot eat on her own as her gums are also swollen and her mouth bruised, so she will not eat or drink on her own right now.

She has been to the vet twice, resulting in costly medical bills my daughter just cannot afford as she starts her life outside of the home. Between X-rays, exams, medications (antibiotics, pain and nausea meds), and on the second vet trip, an overnight stay where her labs were elevated and dehydration a huge concern, she was hooked up to IV fluids and meds, as well as getting a catheter. We truly thought we were going to lose her on the second visit. So far, these two trips to the emergency vet have cost over $1,000 and with another vet visit needed soon to address the nerve damage as time goes on, we are looking at very high costs that are just impossible for us at this time and care credit is sadly not an option for my daughter or myself.

Treasure is loved so very much in our family and most of all, by my daughter who was gifted her as a high school graduation gift three years ago as a little kitten. She adores her cat, takes great care of her, and needs some extra help I am in no position to provide at this time outside of keeping Treasure at my home since I work from home and can keep an eye on her while my daughter works. Treasure is trying to be more mobile but struggling, so we see some progress in her alertness since she came back from the overnight vet visit for IV fluids, but her willingness to eat and the concern with nerve damage is heavy on our minds and on our hearts.

Anything to help my daughter with her cat is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
