Help Trenasia Fight Endometriosis
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Trenasia Brownfield and I am currently battling kidney/ureteral endometriosis (a rare form). Ureteral endometriosis, albeit rare, can be complicated by potential loss of renal function.
Ureteral endometriosis is a serious localization of disease burden that can lead to urinary tract obstruction, with subsequent hydroureter, hydronephrosis, and potential kidney loss.
Endometriosis is an estrogen-dependent chronic inflammatory condition affecting 6% to 10% of reproductive-aged women. It is characterized by the presence of endometriallike tissue outside the uterine cavity.
This painful health issue usually affects other reproductive organs such as your ovaries, fallopian tubes, cervix, or outside the womb. However, it can also affect other pelvic and abdominal organs, including your kidneys, bladder, colon, etc.
I have an endometrioma on my right ovary that is cramping the function of my ovaries and an obstruction in my right ureter which has caused hydrophrenosis and other debilitating symptoms. My endometriosis causes me kidney pain, chronic pelvic pain, nerve pain, and chronic migraines. These debilitating symptoms include vomiting, unbearable periods, and massive weight loss due to lack of appetite. Because of this, I have had to stop working a 9-5 and focus on my health. I was endangering myself and scaring my family by trying to work to provide for them. So I’m willing to ask for help with my living and medical expenses. As of right now my family is facing financial hardship and housing insecurity.
10% percent of my goal will go to the Endometriosis Foundation of America to help provide resources and research for other women like me.
Thank you to all who have donated.
