Help Trevor’s Fight Against Stage 4 Colon Cancer
Hello friends (and if you clicked through to this page that means YOU),
My name is Trevor Wright, I’m a 33 year old father of three, and husband to my beautiful wife Sheryl. On December 23rd 2020 I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer. This diagnosis came 3 weeks prior to the birth of our third child, Jane Ridley Wright.
I can’t tell you how emotionally disorienting these disparate events have been, the birth of a beautiful baby girl, and a cancer diagnosis, utterly disorienting. We are thankful for a faith in God that continues to ground us, and draws us back to hope, even in these confusing and broken moments.
My goal, and every intention of my heart, mind, and soul is to be there for Jane, Simon (2), Josiah (4), and Sheryl, especially when storms of sadness and inexpressible joy meet and oddly mingle for them.
No matter how you go about it, Cancer treatment for a stage 4 diagnosis presents you with a sizable financial obstacle, as does having a third child. We’d like to throw everything we can at this thing, leave no stone unturned, and look back from the vantage point of a hopefully, happy ending knowing that it’s because we did everything we could have done. I’m humbly asking for your support in facing this obstacle, and what makes asking for your generosity easier is that I’m not asking for your support and participation primarily for myself, although I would selfishly like to live and see my family grow, I’m asking with Jane, Simon, Josiah, and Sheryl in mind. I don’t want them to lose their Dad, I don’t want Sheryl to lose her husband. I want to be there for them, and for that reason, I'm asking for your help.
If you partner with me and my family in this pursuit of life I would be profoundly grateful, and I have all the hope in the world that we will be able to share a happy outcome with you. Together we can beat this.
Current treatment:
Two weeks ago I began treatments. I am currently undergoing mega doses of I.V. Vitamin C in addition to Mistletoe I.V. Therapy, which is a form of Immunotherapy. We are awaiting the results of a blood test which will reveal what Chemotherapies and natural compounds were most effective against my individual cancer cells. These treatments are currently taking place Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and generally take 3-4 hours. It is due to this treatment schedule, and having a newly born child, that I'm taking a leave of absence from work.
I’ll have new bloodwork done along with a CT scan in mid-late February.
In addition to this treatment protocol I’m on an extremely strict diet filled with
nutrient dense foods, as well as taking
some prescription drugs/nutraceuticals
to block some of the cancer's metabolic
pathways, and enhance my immune
response.
I will be updating you on any and all
changes or additions to treatment
modality as they occur.
Thank you, and God bless.
