Help Trey Fight Cancer

Donation protected
Trey is a young man with so much potential, and so full of goodness and grace. This teenager has dedicated hundreds of hours to helping thousands of animals in the most underserved communities in Dallas. Trey has dreams of being a veterinarian, and has spent the last several years going out into various neighborhoods in Southern Dallas with local organizations like the SPCA of Texas and Duck Team 6 to help pets get vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. He has helped construct dog runs so that dogs can be set free from their chains. He has helped spread the word about responsible pet ownership, available free services and how pet owners can get help in times of need. Trey and his younger brothers are some of the most selfless, kind and committed young men around. Not many teenagers volunteer to spend their weekends and summers in the hot sun, or shivering in the early morning hours during winter weekends, helping strangers fill out forms and telling them about flea medication, but these boys do.

From a brilliant and bright soul like Trey, his family and friends are prepared for good news – to hear about his accomplishments and new goals as he approaches adulthood. We were completely unprepared for the news we received this week.

Trey recently fell ill, and the diagnosis was far worse than we could have expected. After running tests, doctors found several cancerous tumors in Trey’s brain. We are stunned and heartbroken that someone so young, so giving, and so full of potential has had his world turned upside down. We are having trouble finding the words to express our grief, and our sympathy for his family and friends as they grapple with this unfathomable pain.

We are asking for your help with this brilliant young man’s medical bills and related expenses. Trey has a daunting fight ahead of him. He spends so much of his time giving to people and animals in his community, and now he needs that same care and devotion from us.

Trey is currently in the ICU and funds are needed as soon as possible to ensure he gets the best possible care. Donations will help cover Trey’s medical bills and associated expenses for his family as they support him. Even a dollar will make a dent in what is sure to be an astronomical hospital bill, so please donate, and please share wherever you can.
