Help Tricia Rebuild Her Life in Michigan

Dear friends and family,

My sister Tricia has lived in AZ for all her adult life and some of her formative years. She is working desperately with the help of my mom to get back to Michigan to start over and rebuild a life here.

This last Labor Day weekend, her life partner while struggling with health and addiction issues lost his battle leaving Tricia with no resource to pay for a way to recover financially from this loss let alone funeral arrangements. Adding insult to injury, the once caring family of her late partner - have since turned their backs on her, shutting off utilities and going out of their way to make her life impossible to continue there in Arizona.

Like me, Tricia suffers from a genetic neurological condition called Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) which is a cousin to Multiple Sclerosis. Tricia is still unofficially diagnosed but she exhibits many of the same symptoms that I have only without the benefit of a medical apparatus to assist - like I have. Finding sustainable income with this condition in her fifties is becoming a near impossibility.

My parents have graciously extended their lives and their home in Mancelona, MI during this time of transition. The problem is this: they still do not have a way to get her and her belongings here as she mourns the loss of her partner. My mom flew down to assist her and they now need access to a U-Haul (and fuel) to begin this new chapter.
