Help Trinity survive the Covid-19 crisis

We are absolutely gutted to have to write this update to you.
In light of recent announcements by the Government on the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, we regret to say that all gigs, club nights & events are postponed for the immediate future. We limp along being open, albeit with limited hours. This allows us to take a little bit of money so as to provide a limited amount of work to our staff, who are clearly facing an uncertain few months. But, as you can imagine, our daily trade is devastated and even this will inevitably come to an end shortly.
In nearly 28 years we’ve never faced a fight to stay in business quite like this.
The recent announcements of help to the hospitality industry by the Government, while helpful to some extent, we largely don’t qualify for. Our ridiculously inflated rateable value is now above the limit set by Government in order to qualify for emergency relief grants so unfortunately that is not available to us. We do get some Business rate relief going forward, which is great, but right now we still need to pay our other bills and help support the core staff for which we need around £2500 a week.
This is why we a crowdfunding for a scenario where we may be closed for 2 months. Who knows? It could be even longer.
Like so many other small, independently run businesses, we now face an unpredictable & potentially grave future and we really need your help to survive.
We absolutely understand that so many others are facing similarly uncertain times, but we are encouraging anyone who is able to and wants to play a role in safe guarding the future of Trinity, Harrows longest running and only dedicated live music venue, to donate.
We really don’t want to wake up in a world, two or three months from now, in a cultural wasteland where all that is left are Wetherspoons & McDonalds. We need independent grassroots music venues to survive.
We want to thank you for the kind words of support that have already been left on our social media feeds. They mean a lot.
Be assured, if by some miracle, some of this money is not required, donations will be forwarded to charities helping with the aftermath of this terrible pandemic. Also it should be said, this is a fast changing situation. We’ll keep you guys abreast of developments.
Look after each other and be kind, and please help us by sharing this campaign.
Hopefully see you on the other side.
Love
