HELP TRIST AND HIS YOUNG FAMILY THROUGH HIS AMPUTATION

Dear friends and compassionate supporters,

I am reaching out to share my journey through significant medical battles and to seek your support. I have been diagnosed with multiple health conditions, including a blood clotting disease, post-thrombosis disorder affecting my legs, bowel and thyroid cancers, and an ileostomy (stoma) that I have lived with for 7 years.

My latest challenge is a trans-radial amputation below my right elbow, scheduled for October 2024, which affects my dominant arm.

Throughout my life, I have dedicated over 15 years to our community as an SES volunteer in key leadership roles, helping during emergencies and weather events. Additionally, I have served as a Rural Fire Service firefighter volunteer for 7 years and have passionately advocated for individuals with medical conditions, assisting them in accessing NDIS and hospital care.

Now, as my ability to work is significantly impacted and intensive rehabilitation is required, I am facing financial challenges. I am reaching out to you for support in navigating this difficult journey.

Elevate Essence is organising this fundraiser for a dear friend who, after all he has done for the community, deserves so much support during this tough period. The funds raised will be used to support Trist, his wife Elise and their 9 year old son Seth.

The funds will also provide assistance in and around the home with modifications, along with vehicle modification to allow Trist to drive again. It will also provide financial support as Trist pre-op had to stop working, and won't be able to return to meaningful work for up to a year, as much rehab is needed. Our goal is to raise 20k for Trist and his family to support him through this first tough 6 month period.
