Help Troy Hart Heal and Rebuild

There are seldom words to express the sorrow and sheer horror that has invaded the hearts of my family. On April 10th, my brother Troy Hart suffered a severe fall equivalent to or greater than the height of three stories onto the concrete parking garage floor at the Orlando International Airport. Due to the circumstances and extent of his injuries, there is an ongoing investigation at this time. Out of respect to my family, I ask that you please not make any assumptions about the situation and/or spread any misinformation.

After the incident, my brother was sent to a level 1 trauma ICU to receive emergency surgery and subsequent intubation. As it stands, my brother has fractured several of his upper/lower ribs, sternum, right elbow, right wrist, pelvis, and over five sections of his cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine, including areas that were shattered entirely. He has extensive internal damage, including a laceration to his liver, a laceration to his colon, and bruised lungs requiring chest tubes bilaterally. Based on the discussions with neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, and trauma surgeons, Troy will require several substantial surgeries to improve his chance of recovery and quality of life.

If you do not know Troy or my family, I would like to introduce you to him. My big brother is one of the three siblings that I have been blessed to grow and go through life with. He is a 28-year-old young man who is a proud new homeowner, husband, and father of two daughters with one on the way: Annabelle Rose, Lani Rae, and Riley Sage. He is supported, protected, and loved by his wife Bailey, who is currently 6 months pregnant with our sweet Riley girl. Troy is a Florida Institute of Technology (FIT) graduate with a degree in biomedical science. He pursues a passionate career in medical device sales and continues to soar through his work. As a little sister, I have had the privilege to observe the evolution of my brother from an annoying boy to an admirable man. To our family, he is a beloved son, brother, grandson, and more. To the family he has made for himself, he is an adored father and cherished husband.

Our family foremost asks for any prayers towards the survival and recovery of our Troy. We also humbly ask for any donations that anyone may have the ability to contribute towards the accruing expenses of life-saving medical treatment for Troy. We do not have a current goal to reach as we are unsure of what the total costs will be, but we appreciate anything offered.
