Help Katrina and Eric during a Difficult Medical Journey

Katrina and family are looking for help through a difficult and distressing medical journey.

Katrina works diligently with compassion and care with children with Autism and is looking for help to get through numerous medical issues.

Over the last few years Katrina has had to recieve numerous iron transfusions to help with anemia that has limited her energy. In November of 2023 she had her first surgery (Endometrial Ablation) to try to help solve this issue.

During these last two years time she started to develop major stomach issues. With that, in January of this year, Katrina had a stomach related surgery (gallbladder removal) which took her off work for numerous weeks.

While this helped in the short term Katrina’s health has now deteriorated further as we have discovered a cyst on her pancreas which is growing along with an enlarged liver and spleen. Her liver enzymes are high and her low thyroid level dropped further.

These medical procedures, referrals to specialists and prescriptions have given us nearly $5,000 of dollars in medical bills that are still mounting.

This year has been incredibly challenging durning this medical crisis as we had major car repairs totaling over $8,000. Katrina’s husband Eric had to leave his job in June to take care of the kids during the summer because child care costs were too high.

Within days of school ending in June, Katrina’s father (Arthur Kniep) who has been battling low blood pressure and dementia, passed away. While grieving over this loss, we had to pay for the majority of his burial arrangements totaling over $2,000.

Katrina deals with pain every time she eats. She has followed nutritional advice and takes medications prescribed from her gastroenterologist and primary doctor but results and relief are slow and small.

Eric has had a hard time finding work with our schedules. He starts a new position at the end of November. Katrina is on unpaid leave while seeking solutions to her medical issues.

We are fundraising to cover our medical expenses and monthly bills to help us get back on our feet, any help (even one dollar) would be greatly appreciated!
