Help Turk Fight Cancer

Deja Vu, better known as Turk, is fighting an agressive squamous cell tumor. The tumor, located on his sheath, is growing rapidly and needs to be removed before it interferes with urination. Turk keeps the tumor hidden most of the time but I know it's starting to bother him.
I purchased Turk in 2007. I had spent the previous 11 months mourning the sudden loss of my dream horse, Ernie. I thought that by purchasing an unbroke 5 year old, I could learn how to start a horse, sell it and make a little money. With the assistance of Marsha Sapp, I did just that.
I hadn't planned on an Appaloosa but he was inexpensive and fit what I was looking for. He was super easy to start and his training progressed quickly. By the time he turned 6, we were jumping small courses.
Finances took an unfortunate turn which resulted in the decision to sell Turk. I was heartbroken. He found a new home quickly since he was so flashy and had good training. Two months later, I founded Iron Star Equestrian. I regretted selling him every day.
Fast forward 2 years. A friend contacted me saying she had seen Turk listed for sale. I immediately contacted the owner and begged to buy him back. They agreed and Turk came home. I began using him in my lesson program where he became a fast favorite. He proved to be extremely patient and safe although he's not completely push button. He does make the rider work and will teach them how to ride.
Turk has taught so many riders in his 5 years as a lesson horse. He currently has two four year old riders that he packs around as well as beginners learning to post the trot, intermediate riders learning to canter and jump, and advanced riders that he takes to Horse Trials at Beginner Novice. He has introduced many riders to the sport of Eventing. I also fox hunt him when I have the time and he's a natural. He is the only horse I trust completely.
At age 13, Turk is in his prime. I want him to be around for 13 more years to continue teaching riders about horsemanship, trust and the sport of riding. Please help him get the surgery he needs in order to overcome this cancer and continue teaching.
