Help turn plastic waste into a school washroom
Donation protected
Engineers Without Borders (The Netherlands) are teaming up with a Ghanian Entrepreneur to create sustainable school buildings from plastic waste.
Plastic waste is a huge problem. This is especially true in countries like Ghana, where limited waste collection and recycling systems are in place, and where plastic blocked waterways provide a breeding ground for mosquitoes which then spread malaria.
Together with Afua, a Ghanian Entrepreneur, Engineers Without Borders will turn this plastic waste into bricks. These bricks will then be used to build a school washroom for the Oforikrom MA Basic School. The school currently lacks a washroom facility which is preventing many children from attending the school and receiving an education.
A donation of just €1.20 can sponsor a plastic brick we will use to build the school.
