Help Two Incredible Women Face a Hard Road Ahead
Donation protected
When it comes to Mariah and Chelsea Kallil, the line is blurred between Mother/Daughter and Best Friends. These incredibly strong and independent women, who have relied on each other since Mariah's Dad passed away at a young age, are now facing a daunting road filled with medical rehabilitation, financial challenges, hospital bills, and assisted-living expenses.
Sadly, Mariah's Mom, Chelsea, who recently lost everything in Hurricane Ian, suffered cardiac arrest and a stroke last week. Mariah, as always, was immediately there by her side, using the same grit and determination that makes her Oktane's indispensable source of stability and operational efficiency. But while Chelsea is tough as nails and will find a way to battle her way back, what lies ahead is a challenging road of therapy and rehabilitation.
Like so many Americans, Chelsea did not have health insurance from her job, and her finances were already depleted due to Ian. Living in an empty apartment on a simple blow-up mattress, Chelsea had just started building back her life -- always with a sarcastic joke, a smile on her face, and the same grit and determination that defines the family gene pool. But while her spirit, and that of her daughter, will steer them through the emotional and physical challenges ahead, the financial challenges are very real and daunting.
So this is where we all come in. While we can not remove the difficulty of the road ahead, together, we can make a massive difference in the lives of two extraordinary women. Together we can help alleviate some of the financial burdens on the path in front of them and provide them just a little financial flexibility to find the right living situation for Chelsea, help offset the costs of help and therapy, and help provide a sustainable level of comfort for Chelsea.
Chelsea's one wish was that she absolutely DID NOT want to be sent to a nursing home...ever. So together we can provide Mariah and Chelsea with better options, better care, and more peace of mind so these two incredibly strong women can battle the challenges ahead together.
