Help two Ukrainian girls go to the Summer camp this year!

Hi, my name is Dmitri Kazmin, and I'm raising funds for these two girls. Their names are Sonia (on the left) and Masha (on the right). They are twins, 14 years old. They are from Kyiv, Ukraine. They came to the US as refugees under the Uniting for Ukraine program in October 2022; my wife and I sponsored them and their mom. They stayed with us for almost a year before becoming independent.

Immigration, relocation to a foreign country has been difficult for them, not to mention the trauma from the perils of war that they had to survive. Both girls are adjusting the best they can, but they need more opportunities to build their social network, make friends, learn and, yes, unwind in the company of like-minded peers. Last year we were able to send them to the Python Club Summer Camp in Massachusetts, and that was the highlight of their first year in America. The girls came back inspired, revitalized, energized, and with a whole lot of new friends that they made. We would like to give them a chance to go to the same camp this year too, but we need your help to accomplish this. The camp organizers have made special arrangements for children from Ukraine; they are not making any profit off of refugees, but we need to come up with the base cost of their meals and accommodation.

I sincerely hope that both girls will be able to go to the Camp this year. This will be an amazing experience for them, both in terms of educational opportunities, as well as an opportunity to reconnect with their friends from last year, make new ones, socialize with their peers, grow and develop. Most importantly, this helps them a lot to adjust to this new and strange country, to be accepted and understood, and to come to terms with their new reality.
