Help Tyler Thomas get to Fargo, ND

Tyler started wrestling at 5 years old for a short time. After 8 years, he decided to return to wrestling for his freshman year of high school, where he made the Cedar Creek High School Varsity Wrestling Team. Due to COVID, the wrestling season was shorter then normal. Tyler joined The Orchard South Wrestling Club in order to get more experience & grow as a wrestler. He ended his freshman year as MVP for Cedar Creek Wrestling Team. Although his high school wrestling was over, he was so dedicated to wrestling, he spent the summer wrestling up and down the east coast. Tyler placed 2nd in Dirty Don's Southeast Summer Championship in Myrtle Beach, SC and was awarded All American Status. During his Sophomore wrestling year, Tyler faced a tough injury. He wasn't allowing this injury to stop him from wrestling. He worked hard in Physical Therapy and was back on the mat before the season ended. Recently Tyler placed 1st in USAWNJ FS/GR Championships, Junior Greco (Men) 9th-12th Grade 113. This win earned him a spot on Team NJ with a huge opportunity to wrestle in Fargo, ND.

The tournament in Fargo, ND (in July) is one of the nation's largest and most competitive tournaments for high school athletes. The best in the country qualify at their local state tournaments and regional tournaments for the honor to represent their individual states. Therefore, placement at this tournament is one of the highest achievements that a young wrestler can reach.

Tyler looks forward to the new challenges a tournament like Fargo will bring and hopes to continue to advance his knowledge and abilities through premier competitions in the future.
