My son was an amazing child. He protected me through some very hard times. He’s seen me go through tremendous loss. The loss of my husband to the system, my daughter to the system, loss of my grandmother, loss of a son and he always stuck by and supported me. In our single parent home he has had to accept that we didn’t have a lot of money, accept sharing a small space with other siblings and endure everything that his mother did. He did so with a smile. His smile was not real. He felt every pain of life that we went through but he was being strong for his family. He was 22 and in college. His story ended such as Robin Williams.
