Help UCCP build a church building

UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST IN THE PHILIPPINES MIDDLE LUZON JURISDICTIONAL AREA CENTRAL LUZON CONFERENCE Garrita, Bani, Pangasinan A BRIEF CHURCH HISTORY OF UCCP BANI At the outbreak of the declaration of Martial law in the early 70’s, by then Philippine President Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr., an un-named Missionary Church worker from West Central Luzon Conference (WCLC) under the United Church of Christ in the Philippines Disciples, came to Bani, Pangasinan and started a Pioneering Ministry work at Barangay Poblacion wherein a House Church has been established after a year or two. After a decade, the house where they usually held their worship service has been totally destroyed by a strong typhoon that severely devastates the Municipalities of Bani, Anda, Bolinao, Mabini and Alaminos during the early 1980’s. And as the small congregation are looking for another venue of their regular worship service, the volunteer Missionary worker have passed away and nobody had taken his place to lead the worshiping congregation. After another decade, sometime on the summer of 1998, Pastor Adolfina Campos of UCCP Mabini Street, Binmaley visited the remnants of UCCP Bani congregation and she re-organized them into a MISSION OUTREACH and re-establish them into a House Church category in Barangay Garrita, Bani, Pangasinan. In the year 2000, a Lay-Preacher has been dedicated in the person of Brother William Casiano to assist Pastor Campos in conducting worship services and other ministries of the church. After two years of being a Lay Preacher, LP William Casiano received his Conference Licentiate status as church worker in the conference. During the term of Pastor Adolfina Campos as Administrative Pastor, a benevolent benefactor donates a Parcel of Land with an area of more or less Seven Thousand square meters (7,000 SQM.) of farm land along the National Road intended for the use of UCCP Bani Church building and facilities. On 2014, Pastor Adolfina Campos has joined her Creator and she immediately replaced by her Associate Pastor, William Casiano as Administrative Pastor of UCCP Bani. After Pastor Casiano took over the office, he transferred the location of the venue of their regular worship service at Zone 1, Barangay San Vicente, an adjacent community of Barangay Garrita. At the Outbreak of the 2019 Global Pandemic, the regular worship services has been suspended for about One (1) year due to hard lockdowns that has been imposed by the Local government Units who governs the area. But after the lockdown has been lifted, a lovely couple from UCCP Mabini Street, Binmaley in the person of Third and Len Castro spearheaded the re-opening of the House Church in Zone 1, Barangay San Vicente with the guidance and cooperation of the assigned retired pastor of UCCP Bani, Pastor William Casiano. In the first quarter of this year, 2022; another Lovely couple from UCCP Mabini Street, Binmaley in the person of Gemma and Matthew Goad who are now residing in the United States of America has generously spearheaded the fund raising campaign for the construction of a New church building to be erected in the donated church’ lot located in Barangay Garrita, along the National Road. And the above mentioned lovely couple donates the initial amount of One Hundred Fifty thousand Philippine pesos (Php. 150,000.00) for the initial purchase of materials for the construction of the church building., and it was followed by the donations of G.I sheets and good lumbers from Engr. Cipriano Yabut also from UCCP Binmaley, a Php. 5,000.00 cash from UCCP Puyao, San Nicolas, Pangasinan congregation, a Php. 35,000.00 Cash from UCCP Mabini Street, Binmaley congregation, and another Php. 5,000.00 pesos each coming from Fely Bautista and Lydia Alipio, both coming from UCCP Binmaley. Thank you so much for the leadership of Pastor Joel De Vera of UCCP Binmaley together with the generous members of the congregation for fully supporting UCCP Bani. On June 26, 2022, a New Administrative Pastor has been assigned to UCCP Bani by the Conference, the installation of Pastor Marcelo Macayan has been took place on that same day. And a HONDA CAPA, a Japanese made four wheels has been handed down to him by the generous lovely couple: Third and Len Castro. The Car is intended to be used by the Newly assigned Pastor to travel from Mangatarem to Bani Back in forth and to be used for other vehicular services in the ministry of UCCP Bani. At present, regular worship service has been held every Sunday at the House of Pastor William Casiano at Zone 1, Barangay San Vicente. Later on, if God permits, UCCP Bani will be holding the worship services at Barangay Garrita, the new place of worship. As of today, there are only Nine (9) families who are coming to gather in worshipping the Lord every Sunday in Zone 1, San Vicente. But at The place where we are now constructing our church building in Garrita Bani is in more strategic location for a growing and larger Congregation. We have more than forty prospective families in the immediate surroundings of that new location aside from the families residing in the adjacent communities in the nearby area. The Harvest is plenty, But we need to jointly work harder for the Kingdom of God. “In Unity, we will surely gain the success.
