Help UHN Employees Fight Mandatory Vax Policy

Donation protected
We are a group of employees who have taken a stand against University Health Networks ("UHN") mandatory vaccination policy.

We have commenced an urgent lawsuit against UHN and make up a growing group of employees who were about to face termination as a result of our vaccination status. Our group includes nurses and other frontline workers, administrative staff, unionized and non-unionized employees.

On Friday, October 22, 2021, we were scheduled to face termination. Thankfully, our lawyer brought a successful motion for a temporary order preserving our employment and preventing UHN from continuing to enforce the policy against the approximately 30 people who have already committed to this fight.

The motion for the interim measures was heard before the Honourable Justice Dunphy of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, and his Reasons for Decision will be available soon and will be shared here.

The is a very small victory for us against the mandatory measures, but our fight has only just begun and is far from over. UHN's lawyers have made it clear that they will defend this lawsuit with everything they have. It is likely they will stop at nothing to see that the mandatory vaccination policy is enforced.

The lawsuit we have commenced could have far reaching implications for all employers who are forcing their employees to undergo vaccination or else face termination of employment. All employers who are attempting to mandate vaccination should be cautious to do so while our lawsuit is outstanding.

We are prepared to fight this until the end, but we cannot do this without your help. Litigation is very expensive and we cannot take on UHN alone.

Any donations made will go directly towards supporting our challenge including legal fees and hiring experts. Your donations will ensure that we can put up the strongest fight possible and your help is greatly appreciated. We will keep all donors updated of our progress and we sincerely thank you for you interest in our fight.

EDIT: The Toronto Sun has reported on our lawsuit and Justice Dunphy’s decision.
