Help Ukraine Cambridgeshire

My name is Andrew Maclaren; after successfully starting and running "Help Ukraine Huntingdonshire" which looked to support Ukraine families living locally to Huntingdon by organising regular weekly group meetings, English lessons, providing food, clothing and toiletries, making them aware of facilities and support available to them from various sources, helping where possible to integrate within the local community through regular contact with volunteers.

I'm now looking to support the wider Ukrainian community within Cambridgeshire as I'm aware there are varying degrees of support available. Some communities require more help with their Ukrainian guest than others.

Through my personal contact with the Ukraine families, I've been made aware of the next level of support they require, transport being a significant issue; they want to work and provide for their family whilst here in the UK, the majority being young mums with one or two children, so having the funds to help find work and then get to work in the early stages is a priority.

Some families are fortunate to find accommodation beyond their host family; often unfurnished, they require essential white goods, beds, furniture etc..to furnish their new home.

I'm raising funds with your help to provide transport/access to work and physical items when they find alternative accommodation and are starting to find their feet within our community.

There are many smaller personal items that I will provide to individuals upon request; every need is different.
