Help Ukraine - humanitarian aid shipping

My name is Annie Raush-Gernet and I am an immigrant from Ukraine, currently living in Maryland for 16 years. I am also the proud owner of the childcare centre, “Sunflower Child Daycare”.
Given the ongoing war in Ukraine, I decided to put together all of my organization skills to help my home country. My community and I spent the past weekend collecting various donations for the creation of humanitarian relief packages. This involved around 100 volunteers, all of whom were helping us sort and package various products on my front lawn and at the childcare locations. In total, we were able to collect and send approximately 50,000 lbs (about 80 pallets – 4 full trucks) of goods for Ukrainians who currently do not have access to these products. These packages are being sent directly to Ukrainian cities and we have worked tirelessly to ensure that the chosen route is effective and safe. Our most recent update is that we now have a ware house in L’viv (Ukraine) that will become our sorting place before the humanitarian aid will leave to its final destinations and into the hands of Ukrainian people.
This effort would not have been possible without the volunteers and service companies involved that selflessly volunteered their time, energy, and resources. I consider it my duty to send more and to continue helping Ukrainian people as long as I can, so much so that I plan to build a team to coordinate the whole process.
However, doing everything free of charge is not sustainable for the service providers that have been helping us, nor will community donations be able to continuously meet the increasing needs of humanitarian relief in Ukraine.
This is where I ask for YOUR help. We are all in a privileged position to be in the safety and comfort of our own homes, with all the resources and amenities that we need. People in Ukraine are not so fortunate at the moment but WE have the ability to alleviate some of their hardships.
Please donate NOW and help someone TODAY. Even a small donation can have a big impact on at least one person’s life, and that is something worth taking part in. Please share this with as many people as you can!
