Help Ukrainian childhood cancer patients
Donation protected
Please help us evacuate children from the war in Ukraine so they can receive urgent cancer treatment.
I am fundraising in honour of my dear colleague Nataliya. She is a paediatrician from Ukraine who works here in Melbourne, caring for children with cancer. She is also a scientist researching ways to help cure childhood brain tumours.

The recent war in Ukraine has been devastating, and Nataliya's own family is affected by the violence. The United Nations estimate there will soon be millions of Ukrainian refugees - some of whom are children in need of urgent cancer care. Other young patients remain trapped in Ukraine, where their treatment is now in peril. For these sickest of children it is hard to imagine the added terror that war brings.
As friends and colleagues, we wanted to demonstrate our support for Nataliya and her work. We decided the best way to do this is to help Ukrainian childhood cancer patients in need of urgent medical evacuation and transfer to safe treatment across Europe. There are many hospitals offering to take these kids but they need money to pay for transport, medicines, surgery, radiotherapy and nursing care. Their families must leave everything behind in Ukraine and need funds to rebuild their lives. The children and their families also need skilled psychological support so that they can begin to heal.
All the money we raise will go to organisations coordinating the evacuation and ongoing treatment at respected paediatric oncology units. These include highly respected scientific bodies such as the International Society of Paediatric Oncology, Childhood Cancer International and St Jude Global.
Let's show Nataliya and the children in Ukraine our care and concern. Please give whatever you can; any amount will help. And please share this page to help us reach as wide an audience as possible.
