Help Ukrainian Conflict Refugees and Hospitals

My name is Bohdanna Shmotolokha. I believe Light will always win out over darkness.

Below is our story how we started. Since then the world has seen our worst fears unfold.  The cruelty in Ukraine is unimaginable in the 21st century.  We have shipped over $600,000 of medical and humanitarian goods/funds to Ukraine and Moldova thanks to private donors who more than matched your crowdfunding. We are planning more shipments!  Please continue to help us increase our support for Ukraine and its refugees.

I grew up in Lviv, Ukraine, and I write this through tears.

 

I am asking you to join me in helping our community, our families, our friends in the Ukraine and neighboring countries, survive this violence and dark times.

 

For the past 12 hours, I have been speaking directly with friends and family in Ukraine who overnight became both refugees and displaced inside the border. They are fleeing their homes with no possessions at a moment’s notice as Russian missiles, bombs, artillery and bullets tear into the heart of my country.

 

I am not sharing their names for fear of targeted attacks, but I know them personally, and I have spent all night trying to help them get out and find a refuge.

 

Many more families with children are hiding now in bomb shelters and subway stations like during WW2. Many do not have anywhere to go. Others are on the road heading West and don’t know where they will end up. They don’t have enough supplies. They are losing connectivity to information. They desperately want to find their loved ones, share their stories, and stay connected to the rest of the free world. We are purchasing blankets, warm clothing, heating, lighting solutions, internet/WiFi, and battery packs.

Протягом останніх 12 годин я спілкувалась безпосередньо з друзями та родиною в Україні, які за одну ніч стали як біженцями у своій краіні бо летять бомби на мирні міста Украіни запущені божевільним Путіном і його кровожерним режимом Вони тікають зі своїх домівок, без майна без захисту а російські ракети, бомби, артилерія та кулі вриваються в серце моєї країни.

 

Я прошу вас приєднатися до мене, щоб допомогти нашій громаді, нашим родинам, нашим друзям в Україні та сусідніх країнах пережити це насильство та темні часи.

 

Я не ділюся їхніми іменами, побоюючись цілеспрямованих атак, але знаю їх особисто, і я провела цілу ніч, намагаючись допомогти їм вибратися й знайти притулок.

 

Сімі з дітьми і немовлятами переховуються зараз у бомбосховищах і станціях метро, ​​як під час Другої світової війни. Багатьом нема куди подітися. Родини їдуть на захід у невідоме і не знають, де знайдуть притулок. Їм бракує харчів олягу теплого притулку. Вони втрачають зв’язок з інформацією. Вони відчайдушно хочуть знайти своїх близьких, поділитися своїми історіями та залишитися на зв’язку з рештою вільного світ, Ми закуповуємо ковдри, теплий одяг, рішення для опалення та освітлення, інтернет/Wi-Fi, акумуляторні батареї.

 

While this massive humanitarian crisis is unfolding before our eyes, already tens of thousands have fled to neighboring states like Poland, Moldova, Hungary who are not ready to deal with this size of a catastrophe.

USE OF FUNDS

 

All donations raised through this campaign will be used by experienced relief aid organizations to provide immediate emergency relief. Funds will be collected and administered by Footprint Project (FP).

 

Footprint Project and its partner SmartAID will coordinate the efforts with our local community leaders and aid groups operating on the ground to source, deliver and distribute emergency supplies to affected Ukrainian families.

 

TAX DEDUCTIBLE

 

Footprint Project, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Minneapolis, MN, will issue tax-deductible receipts for all donations received by this fundraiser.
