Help Uncle Clay Recover from the Lahaina Fire
Donation protected
UPDATE: My Uncle Clayton is beyond words with all the aloha that you all have shown via your donations, kind and supporting words, and shares. He’s taking things day by day and learning what steps need to be taken next on this long road to recovery.
We appreciate all your support and continue to pray for the other families who lost their homes and loved ones
On August 8th, 2023, Maui experienced the most devastating wildfire in Hawaii’s history.
Hundreds of homes were lost to fires including my Uncle Clayton’s, who managed to escape the Lahaina fire safely with just a few things in hand. Uncle Clayton lived in our grandparents’ home, where our entire family gathered every New Year’s Day to celebrate both the start of the new year and my grandfather’s birthday.
Unfortunately when he returned to his Lahaina home, it was gone. The roof collapsed onto the home, and his truck was incinerated. My Uncle is not one to ask for help. All he truly wanted to retrieve from the home was my grandparents’ urns, which miraculously survived the inferno. Please consider donating—anything would be greatly appreciated in helping him rebuild his life.
