Help Uncle Vin's Dogshelter
Donation protected
I am asking help to support Uncle Vin's dogshelter in Semenyih, about 40 km from Kuala Lumpur. Uncle Vin takes in stray dogs and rescues them. First he makes sure they get their shots, deworms them and feeds them. He then continues to take care of the dogs until he can find a good home for them. This is very hard to do so Uncle Vin is currently taking care of around 100 dogs all on his own.
Uncle Vin himself is 63 years old and survived bonecancer, so he is unable to do all the physical jobs for the dogs, like washing them. and relies on volunteers to help him out. This is where we came in. We started volunteering to help Uncle Vin out and decided we weren't going to leave it there. There are too many things Uncle Vin needs to keep the shelter running. Food, Medication, Benches, Shampoos, veterenarian visits etc etc.
We started a website where we are going to put up dogs for adoption and also to try to raise money to keep the shelter running. We also hope we can get more people in to volunteer to give hands on support.
Uncle Vin takes care of the most common medication issues with the dogs, simply because there is no money for a veterenarian.
If we can manage it, we want to send a veterenarian to the shelter once every few weeks to check up on the dogs.
Next to that we want to make sure there is a steady supply of dogfood in the shelter and add benches to keep the dogs apart when needed.
We also hope to get as much awareness as possible for the shelter so more dogs will find a new happy home.
Your help is desperately needed.
