Essential Communication Skills for Underserved Schools

We're the Relationship Foundation, a small nonprofit with a big vision, making an impact in Social and Emotional Learning by introducing the life skill Nonviolent Communication (NVC): the practice of expressing one’s needs and feelings without blame or judgment and listening empathically.

NVC in the classroom has improved student behavior and academics. One teacher said, “In my 20 years of teaching, I have never seen anything like this.”

Three underserved schools have requested our curriculum and training sessions for their students and teachers. Your donation will help us provide much-needed training and curricula for these schools.

Each $250 raised allows us to change the life of just one student. We would like to make this possible for 100 students. The funds cover lesson prep, live instruction, handouts, a guidebook, and multiple training sessions for teachers at a school for one year.

With the epidemic of bullying and the rise in childhood suicide and other traumas, our program has been proven to help children learn new coping skills. We want to work to ensure that the social and emotional needs of children are met in a way that sets a standard for schools everywhere.
