Help Uplift the Phillips Family After Tragic Loss
Donation protected
On September 1st, 2024, the Phillips family's lives were forever changed. Tom Phillips passed away at his home after he was found unresponsive. His wife, Kelly, of 30 years, performed CPR for 20 minutes while waiting for EMTs to arrive. EMS performed life-saving measures for an additional 40 minutes without success. Unfortunately, he was pronounced deceased, and Kelly and their two children's lives would never be the same.
Tom was diagnosed with lupus years ago and suffered from hand and leg/feet swelling in the weeks prior to his death.
Tom and Kelly met in middle school and fell in love immediately. Kelly was 14 and Tom was 16. They loved each other so much. They had good times and bad. Nevertheless, through the times of adversity, they pushed through and stayed together and raised their two beautiful children. Tom was Kelly’s best friend, her rock, her protector, and her everything.
Despite Tom’s lupus diagnosis that caused him pain every day, he worked through it to help provide for his family. Over the past month, it has become apparent that the loss of income from Tom passing, the immense heartache, and the fact that their son needs special medical care, getting by has become harder and harder. Tom did not have life insurance and did not have a retirement account that can help with expenses.
Now, Kelly and their kids are struggling immensely financially and emotionally. If we could come together to help pay for Tom’s final expenses and the mortgage payments for a few months to give their family time to grieve and get back on their feet, it would be much appreciated.
