YEAR-END CAMPAIGN: FIGHT CERVICAL CANCER IN AL
Tax deductible
Alabama has one of the highest rates of cervical cancer in the U.S., and West Alabama Women's Center wants to make reducing that rate a priority in 2023.
Unfortunately, for too many Alabamians, the tools for prevention are out of reach. Many pediatricians won't offer Gardisil vaccinations for younger patients. Meanwhile, both vaccinations and pap smears are far too expensive for those without insurance to afford on their own. The only option for financial assistance is the County Health Department, which may take months to schedule.
West Alabama Women’s Center can address this but we need your help. For our year-end campaign, we hope to raise $50,000 by December 31. Donations will be used to establish our own lab—that means reducing costs to the patients and being able to offer screenings free of charge, too.
Life-saving vaccinations and screenings should be readily available and with your help we will be able to reach those who cannot afford or otherwise obtain this vital protection against cancer. Together, we can do what the Alabama government has not.
Note: Yellowhammer Fund is the fiscal sponsor of West Alabama Women's Center. All funding received through this campaign will be provided to the clinic via the fund. All donations are tax-deductible.
