Help Us Adopt Baby Debbie

Hi, we are Sabrina & Zach Glenn. We have been foster parents in Central Florida for over 3 years. In that time, we've had 8 foster placements come through our home.

On August 1st, we received a placement for a 6 week premature drug exposed little girl named Debbie. We immediately said yes and welcomed this sweet little girl into our home. Since then, Debbie has thrived and surpassed all of her health goals and is such a bubbly happy little girl.

As with all of our placements, we have poured our hearts into this little girl while working hand in hand with her biological parents. Her biological parents have come to a cross road and have made a decision to surrender their rights to a private adoption agency with the plan that Baby Debbie stay with us. Unfortunately, these parents have been through a similar situation with a different path that was unfavorable for them. Chosing this route would alleviate years of on going court hearings and back and forth heartache, but it would also make the adoption a "private adoption" and not through the State. This would require obtaining a private adoption agency and private adoption attorney to facilitate the adoption process. A downfall of this private adoption route, other than the out of pocket expenses, is that Baby Debbie would lose the state benefits that children adopted from the foster care system are afforded.

The urgency in this matter is that Baby Debbie may start being moved around the foster care system within the next few days and this opportunity that has been presented by her biological parents would need to be acted on immediately.

Unfortunately, this opportunity was totally unexpected and we were not financially ready and that is why we come asking for help from our friends and family! We thank you so much for your love and support!
