We are raising funds to cover the cost of travel to the NJCL Annual Convention held in Knoxville, Tennessee! For full transparency, the total we are looking to cover is $835 (convention fees) + $775 for travel.

The National Junior Classical League is a non-profit organization centered around promoting the education of ancient Latin and Greek as a world language. All JCL organizations serve children in school learning ancient Latin or Greek as a foreign language or on their own. The NJCL holds an annual convention that is a weeklong, to celebrate and to promote the education of ancient Latin and Greek and to celebrate the students' academic achievements.

The Cascadia Junior Classical League is a state chapter which serves and supports students between the ages of 10-18 learning ancient Latin and Greek in Oregon State, Washington State and British Columbia, Canada (formally known as the WA/BC JCL).

This year we are going to Nationals. The costs of flying across country to attend a 5-day long convention are expensive. These expenses become prohibitive to many students. We have students who are passionate and enthused about the study of Latin. Due to the prohibitive nature of the costs, the Cascadia JCL offers need-based scholarships where and when needed.

I am asking you to assist us in achieving our scholarship goals to assist students in attending Nationals. We have not had a delegation at Nationals since 2019. And I would love to get them there. Please help us in that goal.
