Help us be the voice of Single SuperMoms and their children!
All around the world, in literally every country, single mothers are among the most poor and socially isolated groups in society. A significant portion of them live in poverty, face isolation, and are pushed to the margins. Against all odds, these mothers do everything they can to provide a better life for their children. That’s why, at the Single SuperMom Foundation, we call them Single SuperMoms!
Worldwide, there are at least 175 million mothers raising about 325 million children. That means nearly 500 million mothers and children are struggling daily for a better life. Yet, on international platforms where women come together to improve their lives, single mothers and their children are often not given particular attention. We noticed this when we participated in the Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations in New York in March 2024. Unfortunately, their was no attention for the specific needs of single mothers and their children.
WE ARE GOING TO NEW YORK AGAIN AND WE NEED YOUR HELP!
We will make the voices of these almost 500 million mothers and children heard both INSIDE and OUTSIDE the United Nations’ Headquarters, where the conference will be held again in March 2025. We need your help to finance this spectacular campaign!
THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF REASONS TO SUPPORT US! So that’s why we ask your help!
For what?
- We need the funding to go to and stay in NYC with a small Single SuperMom delegation – you can count on us to search and find the cheapest options!
- We need funding to design and print materials to hold manifestations outside the UN building, at the beginning of every new conference day. We can’t reveal all our plans yet but we can assure you we will be going beyond protest signs and slogans to peacefully call attention to the needs of single mothers and their children!
- We need funding to organize an official panel discussion as part of the conference, this will allow us to make our voices heard not just from the outside, but also from the inside. Here too, we will need materials to get our message across as good as possible.
This project is also part of a broader three-year campaign, where we will focus on working with countries and other organizations dedicated to advocating for the rights of single mothers and their children and to raise lasting awareness for this group, please go to our social media channels linked below and subscribe/follow/like to stay up to date about our next moves.
