Help Us Bridge the STEM Gap: Empowering the Next Generation

In Asia, STEM students make up 20% of the student population, while in Europe, it's only 2%. This disparity is due to outdated teaching methods that focus on theory and separate STEM subjects, lacking real-world context and application. Additionally, there's a significant digital gender gap, with girls and young women underrepresented in STEM fields. The Netherlands has a particularly low ranking in gender parity within STEM professions, especially among disadvantaged groups.

To address these gaps, The Code to Change has launched CodeSwitch, an initiative to support schools in the Netherlands in fostering innovation through STEM education. While the program is open to all youth across the country, it especially strives to accommodate girls and disadvantaged youth who would otherwise lack access to opportunities in STEM.

What We Offer

The CodeSwitch program equips participants with essential skills for the future workforce through a comprehensive STEM curriculum. We focus on:

21st-Century Skills: Information, Media, and Technology; Learning and Innovation; Life and Career.

Gamified Learning: Engaging, immersive experiences that encourage collaborative thinking, communication, and problem-solving.

Accessible Resources: Online resources that allow students to learn at their own pace, regardless of school affiliation or socio-economic background.

Your Impact

With each donation of €1,000, we can ensure participation for one youth for one year. We aim to raise €250,000 to reach 250 youth over the next three years. Your contribution will directly support:

Curriculum Development: Creating immersive workshops and mobilizing resources.

Technical Training: Providing essential coding and tech skills to youth.

Networking and Mentorship: Connecting students with industry professionals.

Access to equipment for those who lack this.
