Help Us Bring Back Our In-Person Conference in 2025!

The Free Cities Foundation has proudly hosted in-person conferences every year since 2020, showcasing groundbreaking work from Free Cities projects across the globe. These gatherings have become the highlight of our year, bringing together visionaries, innovators, and supporters who share a passion for freedom and self-governance.

However, organizing an event with hundreds of in-person attendees is costly, and our industry—still in its early stages—has few large commercial sponsors that typically provide the financial backbone for similar events in other sectors. Once expenses like catering, venue hire, logistics, organizational support and accommodation are factored in, each conference costs around $100,000 USD to deliver.

In an attempt to deal with the high costs of running an in-person event, we announced at the 2024 Liberty in Our Lifetime conference that we would pivot to an online format in 2025. The goal was to allow us to engage a broader audience, including more people unable to travel, while reducing costs.

While this move has its benefits, many of our supporters expressed disappointment that they would lose the in-person event, emphasizing the unique value of in-person networking and collaboration, and the inspiration this gives them.

That’s where you come in.

With your support, we can bring the in-person conference back in 2025! Our target is to raise $20,000 USD through this campaign to help cover some of the the upfront costs of organizing a live event that would take place from October 31–November 2, 2025.

Achieving our target of $20,000 will provide us with the resources needed to host an in-person conference again next year. However, if we are unable to raise sufficient funds to proceed, all donors to this campaign will be eligible for a refund upon request.
