Hello!
We are thrilled to be hosting a Chocolatada this Christmas for 140 children in the remote village of Usibamba, located two hours from Huancayo, Peru.
In Peru, a Chocolatada is a cherished Christmas tradition where communities come together to celebrate the season and share a bit of joy with those in need.
Due to its geographical location, situated 3,640 meters above sea level, the children of Usibamba have never experienced a Chocolatada.
Their village is categorised as "extremely poor" on Peru’s poverty scale, and we want to ensure that these children finally get to experience the magic of Christmas.
Our goal this year is to provide each child with:
A CUP OF HOT CHOCOLATE – thanks to a partnership with a local cacao farm, we’ll be giving the kids a taste of organic Peruvian cacao
PANETÓN – a traditional Christmas cake that is a beloved holiday treat across Peru
A TOY – we’re focusing on giving sustainable and educational toys that will bring lasting joy
The celebration will be filled with fun, games, and laughter, and a local Maestro will lead a traditional Pachamama offering, teaching the children the importance of gratitude and giving back to Mother Earth.
We can’t make this happen without your support.
