Help us bring our beloved coffee shop back!

Schottzy’s Kaffeehaus was started by Kimberly and Cody Lane in the tiny town of La Coste and quickly became a favorite in the area. Kim left her career as a greatly loved educator and coach to chase a dream, and with the support of her family-Schottzy’s was born.
While Schottzy’s did serve the best coffee around, as recently voted on by Medina County, that’s not what made them so loved and special. They gave back to their community by gifting coffee to teachers, offering incentive free drinks to honor roll students, hosting vendors to bring in local crafters, producers, artisans and small retailers from the community to boost the economy, lifting those around them, and much more. They created a warm welcoming environment that all loved to gather in.
Two days before their 1 year anniversary celebration Kim got a call that no business owner wants to get. A driver had crashed into the building causing major structural damage, making it unsafe to leave open. They were excited to have recently taken ownership of the building, but unfortunately we’re not quite finished with the new policy, so the building portion for insurance was not covered, and the drivers insurance is going to cover a very minimal portion of the repair costs. Schottzy’s has been quoted 125,000-150,000 worth of repairs needed. All of this right before the holidays.
So, we are asking for help to bring back our beloved coffee shop and help this family restore their dreams! Any amount is appreciated, and they are also accepting material donations such as windows, flooring, and other building materials.
You can make a direct donation
at Txn Bank in La Coste under Schottzy’s Benefit account if you would rather.
Thank you so much for any and all help given!!
